Most Inaccessable Artists?
These are not limited to metal, but i think its safe to assume most of them are... Which artists do you find most difficult to get into (Not necessarily bad artists, just hard to get into)?

Why would it be safe to assume that most inaccessible artists are metal? There's loads of experimental, avant-garde music out there that's far less accessible than someone like Xasthur.

I would have to say The Mars Volta for me, I have given this group so many listens trying to get into it. But it just really can't do it for me. I'm not sure what it is. I tried to like them. I really did.

I don't listen to enough music to really give any "out there" answers, but the band I had the hardest time getting into was Mr. Bungle. I enjoy there first album as a whole, but that's really the only one I play on any kind of a regular basis...

Grateful Dead are an odd group, essentially a folk rock group but in reality so much more, incorporating all differents types of music: country, psychedelic and jazz etc just to name a few. Also their live records are very different as well, with heavy jamming and plenty of musical improvisation. All in all an odd band.
