Have you not heard the expression 3 chord punk to describe simple music that almost anybody can pick up in 15 mins.

And for the 2nd time I WASN`T TALKING ABOUT SOMEONE PLAYING BASS I WAS TALKING ABOUT THE STYLE OF MUSIC.

This is why I think the boards are filled with raging jackasses. They said list who your favorite bassist was. Not list all the bass players that might be mentioned in this post first so you can look like you have credibility.

No one can follow any damn rules. You all need to get every name in before someone beats you to the punch. I didn't even read past the first page so ill say YtimK (if thats still his name. I really thing he was solid, for no other reason that he wasn't all wanked out but he didn't follow Tom Morello.

And for god's sakes, when someone finally does ask who the best sax player please god don't go "the guy from : dmb, electric 6, kingsman, and bob segers band. ONE FRIGGEN GUY.

cuz in the realm of punk bass players the cat is pretty ill. Not so much his stuff W/ minutemen, but firehose and his solo stuff is great. Listen to the bass line in "captain" (i think that's the name) by firehose, just as a good example
