![]() ![]() No thread so why not start one. I'm just listening to their debut and whilst I was reading more about them ran into a comment on last.fm which praises BC for being innovative back in 1992 (and still sounding fresh today). Now, I'm not a big fan of pre-1995 music but I don't really hear anything particularly innovative in their music. Is it the fact that they're an all black (rock) band that makes them automatically a "good" rock band? A few months back I posted a thread about a Detroit proto-punk (or rock) band called Death which precedes BC by about 20 years. Now, although BC leans more on the metal (or hard core punk, I'm bad with genres but I think some of their songs are more punk than metal) side, I'd say their sounds aren't beyond comparison, only Death seems to merit the tag "innovative" a tad more. Or maybe the "innovativeness" lies in the cop-killing lyrics? I dunno, you tell me. Incidentally, KKK Bitch is an ok tune. Any thoughts on the band, or just life in general?
