i have nothing against slayer, although Kerry King is one of the silliest dudes ive ever seen, but it just seems so common. it seems like wherever you go and mention metal there's always some one who has to obnoxiously throw up the "metal horns" and proclaim "SLAYERRR!!!" for all to hear. i personally think many more bands of that era did much better things for metal than Slayer did. just saying. |

i don't know what you're talking about either, Slayer is perhaps the definitive thrash metal band behind Metallica, and they get **** thrown at them from all sides for being in the game as long as they have. and unlike 95% of the other bands from that era, Slayer's music (well, from Reign in Blood onwards) doesn't sound dated whatsoever.

hardly the same era, wouldn't you think? agreed. they did have a sense of humor though, which was more than most thrash metal bands. Among the Living is definitely good, but most certainly dated.
