Windir is one of the greatest bands ever. Arntor is the most beautiful album around.

Also, Drudkh, Summoning, Arcane Necrosis, Immortal and Kampfar are decent too.

they're probably not black metal - like I said I don't know much about it - but they're definitely associated with the genre. Great band though.

What doom bands are you into, out of curiosity. I like all the doom I've heard, and I wanna get into some more.

i was never really a big fan of Black Metal per-se just cause i was never really into the whole satanic imagery/lyrics, but I did enjoy Satyricon, but only really one or two songs by them so,not much help but like i said its not my favorite style, i much perfer just metal or thrash and even nu-metal over it

I'm still hung up on all the **** that Mayhem was involved in one way or another. Running around on stage spouting christian blasphemy and wearing corpsepaint is one thing, but murdering band mates? Not cool.

they are Black Metal... just not your ordinary black metal band.

Gravity... im into alot of the very extreme stuff... Khanate, ASVA, Moss, Atavist, Wolfmangler, Monarch.. check them out!

There were no demons, no hellfire or brimstone, just a deep, complete feeling of darkness and hopelessness. This was the never-ending void. Not at all how I had imagined it, but worse than I thought that it could have been.
