I resisted listening to Nirvana for years. Seemed like one of these bands that everybody hyped up but was probably overrated. Then one day, I listened to my friend's copy of "Nevermind", and it was one of the best albums I'd heard EVER. I would not call them overrated - they were really that good - maybe only overrated in the sense that they weren't around that long and didn't release that many albums compared to other bands of similar legendary status.

I never listened to Nirvana growing up, because my parents hated them. One of my really good friends, who I'm still great friends with today, wouldn't stop talking about them. Eventually I listened to them, and I was blown away. They're on of my favorite bands today! |
