Who's the one guy you never see in a top bass players list, yet he's insanely awesome?

Hint: He's famous for playing with the one drummer you never see in a top drummer list, yet He's insanely good too.

R.E.M. - Mike Mills - bass & Bill Berry - drums
U2 - Adam Clayton - bass & Larry Mullen, Jr. - drums
ZZ Top - Dusty Hill - bass & Frank Beard - drums

I would consider Frank Beard insanely awesome but most likely overlooked, the other guys are good, (I don't know about being insane) and they hardly make any of the Top 100 - I don't know who you are thinking of?? If Boo didn't add Nick Lowe, I would say Nick Lowe (bass) & Terry Williams (drums) I would also pick the rhythym section to the Rezillos and the Rumor, but that's only because I love 70's music form the UK.

moving on how about Ben Shepard (b) & Matt Cameron (d)?

None of those are who I'm thinking of. If no one get's it in a few days I'll have the answer in my 42. I guess that could be another hint.

Can you just tell me what genre of music it is? That might help.

And yeah Mills, Hill and Clayton deserve honorable mentions I guess.
