The Red Chord
i could not find a thread on these guys, anybody else like them? like a combination of metal and hardcore, but in an actually interesting way!

Once again despite seeming to sound heavy when you take away the blast beats they are just not heavy enough. Why is the bass always missing with these recent bands ? Bass is just as important in metal.

yeah, i agree about the bass, their bassist definately needs to stand out a bit more. i go moreso for the technicality and overall agressiveness of the band than just heaviness though.

Try Digimortal and Demanufacture. It's the guitar and double bass drum syncopation that I love.

hmmm,ok i see what you mean
but yeah, if you do consider checking out the Red Chord, i say go for their latest album, Prey For Eyes. a good dose of heaviness, and their skills/music has gotten a bit more refined

I am sure a few others on here dig them though. I only sort of dip in and out of the metal scene these days. I served my apprenticiship 20 years ago so I am not always the best person to ask regarding new metal.
