Why does nobody realize Bungle predates/runs simultaneously with Faith No More? He was in both bands at the exact same time. He actually joined FNM because of his friendship with the members(Who are actually the ones that informed him of the porno which they use soundbites of Mr.Bungle's self entitled debut album).

Patton's always been about experimental music, and I don't think he likes being creatively restricted. Whether the reunion of FNM was for money or not, it certainly served the greater purpose as it probably funded his side projects.

Then again, apart from Bungle and FNM, I honestly don't feel much of Patton(unless associated with Zorn) goes beyond average. I mean, Fantomas is ok, but feels to me just like a watered down Mr.Bungle fused with a little Naked City.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

I think Tomahawk is pretty good and that album he did of Italian Pop songs.

Tomahawk is really more Melvins w/Patton(With an exception of the third album which, if memory serves, was pretty good, I guess), and Mondo Cane is ok. Far less interesting than Zorn's interpretations of Ennio Morricone, but I guess a little closer to the source material.

I will say though, Bungle is still mighty incredible, and it is largely due to Patton's virtuoso vocal talents.

Just feel as a composer he's actually one of the weaker avant-garde artists, and for some reason in a lot of people's minds he monopolizes the genre.

However, Faith No More is brilliant. Angel Dust is an amazing album with an immense amount of depth. It's one of those albums you can't just listen to one or two times, and get the most out of. There's always something to get out of it with repeated listens.

Well I did know that Mr.Bungle was concurrent with FNM... but I did not know it predated it.

I believe that Phantomas was also a project with the Melvins, or at least with Buzz, not sure. I enjoyed Phantomas, and Tomahawk was cool... but I'm a bit whatevery about a lot of Pattons projects aside from FNM.

Definitely. At first I thought The Real Thing was better, but I find myself listening way more to Angel Dust now. It just doesn't get old.

The War Pigs cover on The Real Thing was kind of unneccesary.

I think it's a great cover, never bothered me as part of the album. Would have made a great B-side as well, though.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

That sums up my opinion of it as well.

Maybe it's just me, but it's kind of too similar to the original song for me to want to listen to it over the original.
