This is a fairly true statement.

I've always liked Disturbed, but like I stated in another thread with Batty, I also find them fairly average, or good at best. They've had some really good songs, and a few albums where maybe all but a few tracks on the album were good to listen to, because usually it is how a Disturbed album goes; good first half, and a declining second half that feels more filler than anything.

I have the new album, and there's songs on there that grab me, I jam to them. Still, they've done what they always do and make an album with five to six good tracks, and the rest are mediocre or try hard filler. I think they could do better if they went away from making music for the radio.

From what I gather, there wouldn't be any new Disturbed if they weren't trying to make radio gold.

The plan all along was to make another album, they just didn't know when that would be...but, we all know that statement distracted their fans while the band members did other projects, but recording a new Disturbed album in secret.

So they make music for the radio, it isn't the worst thing. I just think that bands that are so concerned with radio success forget how to write music with bite to it, or substance at all. Sure you could argue that some of the rock on radio has bite to it, but I'd argue that it's still watered down. I say f*ck making sure your song can be played on the radio. Make your music sound how you want it to, if the radio thinks the lyrics are too controversial or explicit, f*ck'em. They can go listen to Nickelback.

Oh hey. You didn't say what you thought of Tremonti, that is if you gave that album All I Was a good listen.
