I'm not Christian but some of my favorite bands are.
I find that the messages in the songs are good, as long as they are not preaching to me. One band I can't stand is A Plea For Purging though. I guess Christian hardcore/metalcore causes problems because some people out of the music scene would say that it's 'the devil's music'. But that just shows their ignnorance. What are your opinoins about "Christcore" as some would call it?

the religious background of a band should have about as much bearing on the appeal of its music as the colour of the pants you're wearing has on the price of meat at your local grocery store.
the problem with the majority of religious bands is they put faith first and music second which ALWAYS results in a sh!t band. |

![]() I've not heard too much from these bands, aside from maybe Becoming the Archetype. But honestly, "the 'Core" sound is becoming very dried-up and repetitious. If there is a Christian theme or message, whatever... I don't care. Your song with the catchy break down isn't going to inspire me to put down my beer, stop talking about how much I think your band sucks, and go to church tomorrow morning. I'm not being mean. That's just the way it is. Christianity already has it's own music; it's called Gospel. |
