Eh, I dunno.
I never really listend to their old stuff. So I wouldn't know. Some dude got me to listen to it and I liked it so I bought it.

It's seems that today's hardcore/whatevercore bands are into fitting even though they say that they just make music they enjoy. Tons of bands say, "Oh, we sound like a ton of things" and I assure you that I can find multiple bands that sounds almost exactly the same. And it seems to be whats happening with "christcore". Suddenly it's uber popular to praise Zombie Jesus before a show. And have you ever noticed that alot of "christcore" bands have synthesizers? (Ex: TDWP, Underoath, We Came as Romans)Is that like, the instrument of god? I dunno, maybe I'm just being stupid.
Edge rulez.
Zombiez dr00l.

The Chariot were one of my favourite bands for a while. They were started by Josh Scogin after leaving Norma Jean, and pretty much picked up where they left off. Heavy, heavy, heavy.

Yeah it's pretty classic. I was in love as soon as I heard that intro on the invert. What a nasty chord.

I find people who listen to hardcore stuff exclusively (like my old college roommate) kinda annoying to be honest. "Omg this breakdown is so awesome!11", "Omg this is soooo heavy!!" and so on and so forth gets pretty old to hear verrrry quickly, especially since I could show them bands all the way back from 1971 who make their favorite bands look about as brutal as The Carpenters.

I don't listen to it exclusively, and personally believe that breakdowns are overused. But there some well written ones out there.

Their nasty chords are so well used. Even if it's straight from Botch's books.

Yeah, I've always found it gets old pretty fast. I've always been into all types of music new and old. I did listen to alot of post-hardcore and metalcore in my day, but never limited myself to just that. I guess I've grown out of that but still have a soft spot for the stuff I used to listen to.

Yeah, they can make nasty work for them. Normally I'm not a fan of noise oriented music but NJ does it very tastefully.
