What sub genre do you hate?

Seriously! Why not stick to 70's music. The instruments were better and the production was superb none of today's hyper-compression and digital sterility.

I'll defend metalcore, but parkway drive sucks, everyone of their songs has like 2 breakdowns, they really overdo it.

I don't like doom because generally it isn't that heavy sounding

yes they do, but there drummer is very good and they have very nice riffs. There a love or hate band, lol

Yeah, it sounds boring.

There might be tons of technical stuff going on..but if it sounds boring, slow, and depressing...what does all that mean?

I just loose interest because I like to feel energized and **** when I listen to my music, not fall asleep.

I find the intensity and atmosphere of doom metal to be engaging and exciting.

how do people not like all that remains? Their music has so much energy with it. Air that i breathe kicks almost every other songs ass, and the solo in it is just ****ing brilliant.

By the way, i fell asleep when trying to get through that song posted above and i just woke up before posting this. If i'm not headbanging to metal, then it's in most cases not for me

what can i say, people look for different things in music. i don't mind ATR, but i go for stuff a little more technical, like

-ignore the drummer, hehe

It's just fast for the sake of being fast. It just sounds so flat to me. It's like a continuous droning of guitars and someone belching over it.

I'm guessing that it's called metalcore because it mixes hardcore & metal, it doesn't take any of the best aspects of either.

Go listen to Black Flag's Damaged & Celtic Frost's Into the Pandemonium, forget about technicality or sloppyness, just listen to them because they are highly rated in what supposedly influenced what you are listening to now, and then when you've heard them maybe you will see why everybody is so critical of this stuff and refuses to take it seriously.

And if you can't don't worry you'll grow out of this stuff soon anyway.
