Really? It does the exact opposite for me. Its so dull and lacks energy that it makes me want to go do something else, like sit in a chair and drink some tea. Seriously, how does one mosh to that?

Here, tell me if you notice it in this song. I'm trying to figure out if we are talking about the same thing here.

Almost immediately. 15 or seconds into the song.
Edit: Jesus ****ing Christ 1:00 into the song has confirmed that this has to be the worst song in the universe. Edit Again: Actually this entire song is like one big gigantic obnoxious breakdown. |

they are more hardcore, that's why they use those breakdowns all the time. They have some very good riffs in pretty much all of their songs though, i'm not a huge fan of that song either to be honest.

It seems we have an over saturation of ****ty identikit metal sub-genres. Surprise.
- Soft rock: no needs that much schmalz - Modern Nashville Country: see above - Post-grunge - anything based around lord of the rings.

Dont like slutcore, sciencecore, softcore, whorecore, or applecore. I like rockandrollcore though.
I feel ya on the chugga Unfan, not a big fan, but if it is used in a song it should be for a breakdown without the vocals layed on top of it. And I'll bet money that all these bands had moshing in mind when using that. "Oh snap! we forgot to make that repetitive sound so the kids can mosh!" |
