Children of Bodom is my favorite band. A few more of my favorites are In Flames, Suidakra, Nightrage, Immortal, Opeth, Arcturus, Iced Earth, and Soilwork.

Good stuff, my two favorite bands are bodom and enemy. I also like sinergy, dark tranquility, helloween, evergrey, symphony x, nevermore.

Power Metal: Iced Earth, Dragonforce, Blind Guardian, Demons and Wizards

nice. Melodic Metal and Power metal sound like what? Power I guess is just really hardcore but Melodic I would of thought goes with Black Metal?

Fun. I like most of the bands mentioned. Arch Enemy is great, as is Opeth, Emperor, Iced Earth, etc.
I can never keep all the sub genres straight. I have no idea what makes Death Metal melodic, but it's good stuff.

All of you who like melodic death need to check out Arghoslent. They're not melodic death in the Gothenburg sense, but they've released one of the best melodic death albums I've ever heard (Incorrigible Bigotry).
