I still classify Three Days Grace as nu-metal, but I suppose it isn't quite as lame as Staind, so you have a good point there. |

This is somewhat off topic, and I haven't read this whole thread, but I thought this was fitting of nu-metal...
I was watching an episode of "Bones" the other night, and one of the characters jokingly asked a hard rock night club owner "who would win in a fight-- Korn, or Prince and the Revolution," and after a long pause the night club owner responded... "you don't mess with Prince." Thought the quote was funny and fitting of nu metal, and Prince. |

I think the FBI/CIA should use this music as an interrogation tactic. Just have the suspect handcuffed to a chair, put headphones on him, and force them to listen to Brokencyde songs until they get a confession.

That implies that there is more than one of these bands. That implies that there is an audience for this and that it's not just an ill thought out one time abomination that will be forgotten as soon as the novelty wears off. And all of that implies that I will have to track this band down and make an example of them with a chainsaw to show what happens to people who make such atrocious music.

I wouldn't recommend making an example of any of them, as it might give these people an idea for another terrible new genre. |

I don't know, a band who has one member that's a chainsawed corpse would be pretty epic no matter what kinda music they played.

same thing works with any nu-metal band. Brokenside isnt that much worse than any of them in their own right.

I have nothing particularly good to say about Korn, but they are vastly superior to that god awful **** fest.

The thing about nu-metal is it's diversity. There is the pathetic whining of Staind all the way to the rage and fury of Korn and Slipknot. In my opinion it's almost always unbearable.
The other aspect is the ridiculous band names. Korn, Staind and Limp Bizkit are 15, 16 and 17 on that list, and there are several other nu-metal bands on there. |
