Morbid Saint - Spectrum of Death Sadus - Swallowed in Black Demolition Hammer - Epidemic of Violence Forbidden - Forbidden Evil Death Angel - The Ultra-Violence 5 you should listen to if you have not yet. I will have to get back to you on the similar to Acid Bath. I have not heard any band I can say is similar (or at least comparable)... when it comes to Doom, I have been getting more into the traditional stuff like Candlemass, Pentagram and Trouble to name a few.

I'd also recommend checking out the Norwegian group Green Carnation, you can either start off with their 2000 debut Journey to the End of the Night or go for their 2001 follow-up Light of Day, Day of Darkness. The latter is a 60-minute metal epic that is truly awe inspiring, but I still prefer their debut. Also here's a mix I made last year, you might find something on it you like. I don't know about metal sub genres too much but for some strange reason I had Katatonia listed under symphonic metal. I guess I'll go and edit their tracks to reflect what they really are.
Viva Emptiness and The Great Cold Distance are the two albums I have from them.
