I'm really suprised and disappointed that no one voted for Superfuzz Bigmuff. That EP, along with Green River's Rehab Doll, defined the sound of the Seattle scene in the late 80's.

It's really predictible that Nevermind would win the vote, i still rate In Utero over Nevermind though. I'm really glad to see The Afghan Whigs Gentlemen in the list, such a cracking and emotionally intense album.

i prefer nirvana's Bleach to Nevermind but it was pretty predictable that it would win

I would have had Soundgarden's 'Badmotorfinger' up there. I think I voted Pearl Jam's 'Ten' album a while ago though.

I'm actually starting to tolerate grunge more. Alice in Chains, Mudhoney, and Soundgarden are all pretty good.

Grunge was such a freaking fantastic movement... amazing, the mass media actually favored thoughtful. meaningful intelligent music for a spell. So many good bands were the product of the era, so much creativity...

It's just a shame that "post grunge" rules the rock airwaves and digital streams these days... and we have the likes of Hinder, Nickelback, etc... hardly overwhelming, creative mind blowing stuff like what we had in the earlpy nineties

... or maybe I am just getting old and nostalgic...

Superfuzz Bigmuff, which got zero votes, is more representative of the Seattle grunge scene and sound than any of the albums listed by a mile. It's a much better album than most of the ones up there too.
Superunknown was Soundgarden's "MTV" album. Louder than Love was definitely the apex of their career as far as creative output is concerned

It may have been their MTV album but Superunknown is still an almighty album nonetheless IMO... such a shame what happened to Chris Cornell... we should just drop the"ell" from the end of his name and place a "y" there...
