That's kind of what I said about them when I heard them the first time, the new album actually sold me on the fact that they are a pretty decent band. You just didn't reference any sort of specific item or detail about the band, other than they are "core"; and you've never posted here before, so I was just asking.

That's ok, haha. Today is my first day on here.

The big thing that vexs me (not necessarily bothers) about Attack Attack is the "crabcore" thing. Generally, when a band gets their own sub-genre it's because they did something musically different, not because they did some funny dance in a music video. It doesn't bother me, I just don't get the musical significance of it. Crabcore doesn't have sound, it just looks silly.

I could be wrong, but I believe the crabcore thing was a joke that spawned from a gif that was made a while back. I don't think it's considered a "real sub-genre" and I would call anyone who recognises it as one a fool. They are pretty much metalcore, although the newest album has a few tracks that are hard to squeeze into that genre.

Ah. That makes more sense. The dance does kind of seem a little obnoxious.

There's actually two threads, one on the band, one on the vocalist. For some unknown reason. They should probably be merged, honestly. I wouldn't say there's enough discussion on Attack! Attack! to merit two threads by any means.

Reach a consensus then let me know if something needs to be done. I'm ambivalent at this point.

Am I some sort of authority on Attack! Attack now?

Shit, I've been type-cast...

haha, I guess it's good someone looks at it that way. I just don't want to be type-cast as "that core bro" or something.

oh, please. time to quit worrying about being 'type-cast'. I know I'm one to be talking since I probably already am, but I'm just honestly not that concerned about it. I'm thinking it might just be a little bit of time waste when people are going to think what they want regardless. Just my useless opinion for the day. (:
