I have this CD somewhere. I never listen to it, though. I have. But I don't. I don't really have anything against Immolation, its just that, to me, they're nothing special. That is to say that they don't have anything that says to me, "This is Immolation.". I've heard these beats and vocals in countless other death metal bands. The leads are good, but nothing really awe-inspiring. I'm not saying these guys aren't talented as hell, and I can see why people would like them. I did buy the CD, after all. But it was enough for me to realize that they're not my kind of thing. 5/10

^^^ hhmmm... sorry I don't really like it 4.5/10 (maybe it's too full on for me)

Intro is vaguely reminiscent of Dream Theater. That could go either way. Not a big fan of the vocals. Kind of sounds like Christian from Fear Factory. Sounds exactly like him. Nothing retarded or offensive about it. Just kind of lack-luster. I probably would have gotten into these guys when I was younger, but now that I'm a crotchety old man, it's just a bit too formulaic. It's been done. 4/10
Some second-wave Black Metal from Dimmu in their prime. |
To be honest, that felt somewhat underwhelming. 5/10

the guitars and bass are good (didnt like the solo near the end though), and i like the vocals. didn't like that drum tone though, and overall it didnt feel too original. not bad. 6.75/10

Dont think Ive heard these guys yet. Ive heard of them though. Very trudgey beginning. Cool. Very reminiscent of early 90's metal, except for the vocals. They're a bit more punk inspired. I'm not too much for them. These guys have really good guitar and bass tone. The playing is a little monotonous, and the vocals are... okay. 5/10
Check it. 2:56 and 3:08. Oh yeah. |
Good, interesting but sorry - too hard for me. So 5/10
