I listened to a bunch of Lamb of God songs before I realized that I think they suck. That is - they can sound pretty good but I don't think they make good metal. The vocalist consistently shows off his one chop and the rest of the band plays stuff that is way too simple for how big they sound. They kind of tricked me. Admittedly the BTP stuff was better than they are now and I give them an A for effort in keeping metal alive but...5/10.
I know this song is old hat but it achieves what Lamb of God might have if they knew their way around metal better. |

Mastodon always delivers the goods...complex riffs that are heavy as hell. 8/10.

Its been a long time since I've listened to any Acid Bath. This is a more picked up pace than what I've been previously exposed to. They were definitely part of something new and exciting when they came out. However, this isn't one of their best tracks in my opinion. The backing vox are a little too out front. The breakdown around the 4 minute mark is a little more like it. I just think their sound is a lot more powerful when its slowed down. 7/10

Not bad, never been a huge Dimmu fan but that song was cool. 7/10

Bolt Thrower always crushes. I'm more familiar with their faster brand of deathgrind from Chaos and Warmaster, but this was good and heavy. 7/10.
Next is an old blues riff.
