Darkest Hour

Hell yeah, these guys are awesome. From when they were melodeath to basically metalcore like they are now, they have always owned. Deliver us and the undoing ruin are sick albums

I hate threads like this.

What on earth is the difference between melodeath and metalcore?? You could just say they are a metal band

Agreed. The fans seem to take pride in creating absurd genre names. Most of which they couldn't describe if there life depended on it.

Such as folkcore or black metalcore. There we go, 2 new metal sub-genres created for you.

More to the point i think Darkest Hour are a bland, unoriginal metal band. There's better and more interesting metal bands out there.

Agreed. I dont think they have created a single riff that hasnt been done 10 times over.

I'm getting strong cravings for cheese on toast at the moment. I love when the cheese melts perfectly into the toast, tastes delicious :) maybe a strong coffee aswell.

I have just gave them a listen- a load of old crap...and that is melodeath? which i presume is 'Melodic Death Metal'? An oxymoron if there ever was one. why can't death metal just do the job it is supposed to?

Here you go son. 20 years old and better than half of the crap out there:

Yeah, I really don't like Darkest Hour...just doesn't catch on at all for me.

I much prefer Machine Head which is pretty similar.
