I usually really dislike heavy/power metal singing, but I'll still check those out.
One of the reasons I enjoy Slayer so much is the unobtrusiveness, non-cheesiness and non-ridiculousness of Araya's singing.

I'm pretty familiar with early BM, but my perception might have changed and I'll check those out as well. Thanks!
