I don't think you're going to find that in avant-garde metal, many of the bands I see tagged with that make an effort to put as much as they can into the genre, and then see what works and what doesn't. When I listen to a new band with that tag I throw all expectations out the window because I don't know what I'm going to hear, nor should I. That being said though, the only band that really comes to mind is The Pax Cecilia's 2007 album
Blessed Are the Bonds, however this is more me taking a shot in the dark, so take it for what it is.
