Default should for sure check this out

now i have NO idea if this has been posted or not, there are a ton of pages and im not gonna read through every one of them haha. but ever heard of the band Hunab Ku? my guess is probabbllyyyy not. they use 8 string guitars, synth, and very strange sounds. completely messed up time signatures and keys...basically good lucky following whats going on at all. but at the same time it sounds so heavy, and so trippy and so cool. extremely underrated group that needs to be discovered

Steal This Album is easily SOAD's most underrated effort. Listen to tracks like "Innervision", "I-E-A-I-A-I-O", "Mr. Jack", "Roulette", etc. for a very interesting and wonderful System experience.

I'll also say that's a solid Pixies album, Korn's best album, a good Beatles album, and an okay AC/DC album.

That is not an exceptionally good Stones album, though, in my opinion. Check out Sticky Fingers or Exile on Main Street for legit stuff. Maybe even Black and Blue.

I only have the Pixies and The Beatles.

The Beatles is an essential purchase. The Pixies one so-so.

I totally agree with the SOAD comment. Korn album is good, Stones album is decent and I don't do Beatles.

I'd suggest Goat Head's Soup - totally underrated

Yeah I only had the 4 stones albums from their golden era, and saw Steel Wheels for 4 bucks so I went and got it.

I would not say Goats Head's Soup is underrated. At the time of it's release it was their weakest album. Big drop off from "Exile.." or "Sticky Fingers". But GHS has "Angie".. so people know it for that.

Overall I still say The Stones are a band who had 8 great years to 40 bad years. Focus on the first 8 years first, way better than anything they did after.

But no, GHS is not underrated. It is just not as good as anything before, but stilla whole lot better than 99% of what they did after.

ps. Some Girls > Black and Blue

Black and Blue is probably the weakest of their 70's output.

This isn't so much a music recommendation as it is a Metal Forum recommendation. Anyways, I really enjoy the Metal Albums Wars thread and really enjoyed the Extremism Before 1992 thread courtesy of Hip Hop Bunny. Basically I just like it when the community pools in all their thoughts to rank and discuss a topic. What spurred me to make this suggestion was that the metal forum (outside of the album wars thread) seems to be a little lethargic as of late. I find that when the community comes together, some really stimulating conversation results. I'd be happy to take the initiative and set something up if you guys would let me know what kind of community participation thing you'd like to be a part of.
