Also, just fyi up and coming is referring to bands that have released their first album within the last 2-3 years. So keep that in mind!

Thanks!

What do you guys think about Trust Company? (Probably have asked that one before but I forgot what you guys said)
Shangri is a very poor album and easily the worst in their discography and its the only one I don`t own, but if I saw it really cheap I`d buy it just to complete the collection.

Does anybody know any good metal bands that make prominent use of a synth guitar or are very heavy on electronics? The only good bands I know that fit the bill are synth rock bands but they are not heavy at all, and then there's some trancecore bands but that genre is pretty awful so far.

You could always go with some symphonic black metal. Early Dimmu Borgir is pretty sweet. And Arcturus rules. Although their second album just comes off as hokey to me, with those faux operatic vocals.

I've been real into Manic Street Preachers "The Holy Bible" lately. Do you guys know any other similar albums to that one?

Behexen's 'Fist of the Satanist' is quite amazing possibly my favorite non-"avant garde" black metal album. Unexpect's first album is surprisingly a straght black metal album, and not bad. Ulver I quite like, and basically is the closest thing to Arcturus(Ulver isn't as well crafted, but covers much more ground). Dodheimsgard(albeit only 666 International that much), Leviathan, Gojira (Gojira is ****ing incredible), and Behemoth are also favorites of myself.

Albeit, you can tell I really only indulge in later more experimental black metal ala Blut Aus Nord, or where it crosses over to deathmetal, rather than the 'pure' stuff, but still good stuff.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

Genghis Tron are one of my favorite bands period, and they play a sort of Converge-esque style of metal but make heavy use of synths and use a drum machine. If that doesn't fly with you, Mose Giganticus' album Gift Horse is also worth looking at. It's about half an hour long and basically sounds like a slightly less sludgy Mastodon with lots of synth.

I've been on a huge Melvins, Boris, and Kyuss kick over the past couple months. Any other excellent stoner/sludge metal bands out there? I've already tried Sleep, The Sword, Big Business, Kylesa, Mastodon, and Neurosis, to name a few
