I`ve always had an off/on relationship with them and back in school they were probably the first metal band along with the Scorpions that I ever listened to and along with the Scorps "Love at First Sting" DEF Lep`s "High N Dry" were the first metal albums that I ever bought. I remember how heavy I thought they were, which is kind of strange considering DEF Lep put out a very mild form of metal anyway. "Pyromania" is essential to any metal collection and one of the biggest selling metal albums of all time, but most of the stuff after that is quite poor and not much better than a Bon Jovi record, saying that "Hysteria" is a pretty neat album

The major difference is that Van Halen is good. :p

To be fair though, if I was given free tickets to see Def Lep, I would. Which I was, and am.

Both are fairly awful overall, but Korn are slightly less awful.

Also, was curious to what you guys thought of Pearl Jam and what you think their best album is.

(What I got out of all those posts ^ was that both aren't that great but Korn is better, thanks guys!)

Pearl Jam are the best thing since sliced bread All their albums are must haves, Eddie Vedder the best vocalist since Jim Morrison, the rest of the band is what hard rock is all about, their mix between muscle numbers and slower material is perfect and their music has just about the right amount of experimentation as well.

The three essentials are:
Ten
No Code
Binaural

But most hardcore Pearl Jam fans would probably go with:
VS
Vitalogy
Yield

If anybody tells you different from what I`m telling you, don`t take any notice of them, as I know best.
