Really? I had heard that the 90s master of Let It Bleed was much better and less compressed. So far, I have the 90s editions of all the Stones albums except for Exile which I have the remaster of. |

Be'lakor's Stone's Reach is maybe the best melodic death metal album that i've heard. And i quess i can say that, becoz melodic death metal has been my favourite metal genre over three years. First i tought that Be'lakor is an Europian band, maybe from Scandinavia... But they're from Australia. ...excuse moi? Australians have kangaroos, they don't play death metal. But still.. this band has made only two albums (The Frail Tide, 2007 and Stone's Reach, 2009) and i have listened mostly the newer album. Be'lakor got quite basic melodic death consistence: two quitarist (one of them is also singer), basist, keyboards & piano and drummer. Their music is really multifaced and skillfulled. Vocals are deep growl, quite similar as Amon Amarth's Johan Hegg's voice. So reading the lyrics is recommable but it's not the main thing...
I can't post URL's, but if u're interested try tracks like ''Held in Hollows'', ''Aspect'' and Countless Skies.

Also, do you think Tommy, By Numbers, and A Quick One are worth buying? |

Tommy is good, hate By Numbers, I only heard A Quick One's title track and that's good - as again, get the 97 remaster of A Quick One which has their cover of "Barbara Ann" (Beach Boys) - awesome! |

For anyone who's into doom or sludge, Crowbar's new album Sever the Wicked Hand is an absolute MUST HAVE. It's their first album in six years and has some of the dirtiest riffs I've heard in quite some time. Highly recommended!
