Default Hi, I love hard rock type music but am now starting to get into Classic Rock..

Been listening to stuff like Fleetwood Mac & Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and am loving the style.

Im thinkin of giving The Beatles are try but not sure what album to get, an album called 1 seems to be the best bet since it has all of their number 1 songs.. but since The Beatles are supposed to have heaps of great songs im afraid I will miss out on some other gems.

Basicly I need help to decide what Beatles album to get haha.. and im hopeing none of my friends see this because I know its not normal for a 19 year old to be interested in music his grand parents listened to haha

It's an admirable quest. I would strongly recommend not simply doing the Greatest Hits, as there's a lot you will miss out on. I'd personally suggest you start either with Revolver or Abbey Road.

Some good albums to start with for various thrash metal bands? Just throw everything at me you got, I can sift through the ones I've heard.

The six albums above are essential listens for the genre, the six I`ve recommended below, will give you even more variety and diversity, again its just one album per band.

Kreator- Coma of Souls

Sepultura- Arise

Voivod- Nothing Face

Anacrusis- Manic Impressions

Overkill- The Years of Decay

Judas Priest- Painkiller (not a thrash band of course but so influential on the genre and Painkiller is their thrash/speed metal sounding album)

I always thought "The New Order" was one of Testament's best back in my thrash days. Highly recommended for some deeper listening if you like what you hear in "Legacy".
