Does anyone have any recommendations for anything similar to two bands that don't sounds alike, besides a band that doesn't sound like either of them? I have to admit I'm not entirely sure what you're looking for.

If you like Boris' drone stuff, check out Sunn 0))) (Flight of the Behemoth is a good album to start with). If you like their more rocking stuff check out Electric Wizard (Witchcult Today is a good place to start).

Have you heard Secret Chiefs 3? It's basically Mr. Bungle without Mike Patton and with more of a cinematic/middle eastern slant. Book of Horizons is probably the best place to start with them.

Dopetrone is great too. Really you can't go wrong with Electric Wizard, I love every album I have by them.

Anyone have any good recommendations for noisy, spastic, grindcore-ish music? It can be literally grindcore or not, it's just that super spastic feel that I'm looking for. And if the band is particularly unique sounding or employs unusual instrumentation, that's all the better. Here are some examples of stuff I like that fits the mood I'm looking for:

An Albatross
Pig Destroyer
Agoraphobic Nosebleed
Psychofagist
Lightning Bolt
Naked City (specifically the stuff with Yamatsuka Eye)
The Locust
Mumakil
