I get right into artists like Animals As Leaders, Liquid Tension Experiment, Buckethead (and all the other guitar virtuosos), so am looking for music along similar lines.

Please, no vocals and stuff with a sense of melody not just avant garde tripped out ****!

Cheers, any recommentdation is appreciated.
So you want no vocals AT ALL??? Like None? Ever?

edit: If so, try this.

Anyone ever heard of Sarah Jezebel Deva? Her new album might be my favorite of the year... Sarah Jezebel Deva - A Sign Of Sublime

I would suggest the album Quantum by Planet X, the band Derek Sherinian formed after leaving dream theater. I would say they definitely had an influence on animals as leaders' sound. The album also has a couple tunes featuring fusion guitar legend Allan Holdsworth

Default Five Finger Death Punch

I know that Ive metioned this band a couple of other times before in the past, but their one of my favorite bands of the last year or so, I think that they have potential. (but thats another story)

I think that if FFDP could possibly come out with an album or two in the future that proves a level of maturity with the band musically, they could become more popular in the eastern US and the masses as a whole, Ivan Moody is a very versatile metal vocalist, and W.A.S.P. drummer Jeremy Spencer, (who displays some very good double bass drum work), Bingham was replaced by W.A.S.P. guitarist Darrell Roberts in 2006, who was replaced by Alice Cooper guitarist Jason Hook in 2009 (who by the way is a very good guitarist), I guess only time will tell .

I'm looking for some new bands to check out... I'd like something along the lines of Muse/Radiohead, since those two are some of my favourite bands. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance
