Both are two favourites of mine.
Yess. I'm glad to see people giving Epicus Doomicus Metallicus more credit than Nightfall. While I think Nightfall is classic and all, it doesn't touch EDM. On the note of Solitude, easily my favorite Candlemass song. Also, its amazing to me Candlemass is still releasing great music.

I have tons of epic-Doom suggestions if anyone needs them. Doom Metal/Stoner Metal and Sludge Metal is where most of my knowledge is when it comes to metal. So just let me know.

@Catgod,

If you like Death Metal, and the heavier side of Thrash. You'll probably like Suffocation.

Also, when I looked up TBDM, I was pretty instantly reminded of Benighted

Lastly, as obvious as this might be (it's obvious, oh it's obvious all right. I spent a while wondering if I should even say this)

Slayer and Metallica go pretty good together.

Looking for a Power Metal band that's like 3 Inches of Blood, and NOT DragonForce. *shudders at the thought of DragonForce*

Also, I'm looking for a Melodic Death Metal band like The Black Dahlia Murder.

Finally, I'm looking for Thrash, like Slayer (any particular song recommendations for Slayer would be nice as well.)

Thanks!
At The Gates.

Evile are one of your best bets; almost exactly same style. Only 2 albums released, of which I have 1 (Enter The Grave), but by my standards, it is superb.

Slayer songs that I enjoy are: Raining Blood; War Ensemble; Angel of Death; Deviance; Love to Hate; Jesus Saves.

I'm looking for some good hardcore metal like Hatebreed, Full Blown Chaos, or Walls Of Jericho. Any suggestions?

No "death grunts" or anything of the sort please.

Try The Gathering, Dream Theater and Apocalyptica (Apocalyptica actually did a track with Cristina Scabbia from LC called "Anything But Love")

Quite an old band now but try Symphony X one of the most important symphonic metal bands around.
