Default Sensory Station - Ambient Grunge

I'm definitely digging this new band Sensory Station from San Diego/Los Angeles area. They're playing on May 20th at Molly Malones in LA. Thinking about checking them out.

Lame name for a band. Might show up just to throw beer at them.

Really digging Morrison Hotel lately, especially the more rambunctious cuts like Peace Frog, Roadhouse Blues, Maggie M'Gill, and You Make Me Real. The Doors are a new thing for me, where do I go from here if I want more of The Doors' edgier material?

Their s/t and Waiting for the Sun are both phenomenal records.

Also L.A. Woman. It's their bluesiest.

Strange Days is my favourite after the debut, but you probably want to avoid that one until you're into them a bit more.

New here!
Here are some of my metal and hard rock recommendations; I listed their GENERALLY RECOGNIZED genres in parentheses - these may or may not be the genres that some people would think of them as:

Slipknot (alt metal, nu metal)
System Of A Down (alt metal)
Taproot (nu metal)
Avenged Sevenfold (uh so many genres depending on the album XD)
Rammstein (industrial metal)
Disturbed (heavy metal, nu metal)
Arch Enemy (melodic death metal, thrash)
Of Mice & Men (metalcore, no hate)
Chevelle (post-grunge, alt metal)
Breaking Benjamin (post-hardcore, post-grunge)
Bring Me the Horizon (metalcore)
Pantera (so many genres too...)
Pierce the Veil (post-hardcore)
Five Finger Death Punch (groove metal)

UPDATE: Some more I've taken a huge, huge liking to, among others:
Absu (black/death metal)
Napalm Death (grindcore)
Cerebral Bore (black/death metal) - my FAVE!
