A Death Grip on Yesterday is probably my favorite by them and also an album that I haven't listened to in a long time.

Anyone know of something similar to Zoroaster? I'm mainly referring to their vocal style, with the low, drone-y Gregorian Chant-esque effects. Something about it tickles my fancy.

Does anybody know of any bands similar to Ehnahre? I'm absolutely loving their album The Man Closing Up and would like to get into artists that have a similar sound.

Haven't heard much Zoroaster, but your description of the vox made me think of Om.

Good like finding a band like Ehnahre, I know I can't.

I just wanna let everyone know, that Timeghoul slays.

Ah, duh. Om. They aren't as metal as what I had in mind but the vocals are exactly what I want-- thanks.

Default R&B, Funk covers

I'm looking for rock covers of R&B and funk songs. Songs like Brickhouse 2003 by Rob Zombie, Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm, and Love Roller Coaster or Higher Ground by Red Hot Chili Peppers. If you know of any others, please list them below. I'm trying to mold the sound of a new band and I'm looking for more examples of the sound I am looking for other than what I have listed above.

Thanks.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned DragonForce, beasts at guitars.
Most famous for 'Through The Fire and The Flames' on Guitar Hero and YouTube sensation.

Not sure what genre they are if it's rock or metal but based on there new 2011/12 album it's quite rocky.
