I would agree that the first album wasn't the greatest, but "blew hard"? There were a few gems on there...

New one coming out already? I still haven't gotten around to hearing the first. Not high on my priorities, obviously, but I'd still like to hear it eventually.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

The Dead Weather are alright. That said I'd much rather see Jack White working with Meggy again. Gonna have to wait until 2011 for an album from them.

I'll be interested to hear The Dead Weather's new album.. I didn't really like the single if I'm honest.. Maybe it'll grow on me.

The Dead Weather At Coachella @ Antiquiet)

They previewed a few of their new songs at Coachella, good quality videos of the songs on there if anyone wants to watch them.

Default The Dead Weather

I don't think there is a thread on these guys yet, but I may be wrong...

Althought most "supergroups" have a tendency to suck bollocks, the Dead Weather are something else. I have been obesessively spinning the new album - Sea of Cowards, and just today I got their debut - Horehound. They just sound, so so dirty...

Here a few cuts:

They are:

Alison Mosshart - The Kills
Jack White - White Stripes/The Raconteurs
Dean Fertita - The Queens of the Stone Age
Jack Lawrence - The Raconteurs/The Greenhorns

I guess they are not that super... Certainly can't be compared to Chickenfoot haha.
