Maybe you guys can help me out a little. I'm not really into the whole screaming thing, but I will say Korpiklaani's music is kind of what I'm looking for, just not the screaming like i said.

A good example of what type of music I'm looking for is dropkick murphy's - I'm Shipping Up To Boston(the departed theme song). Or the Boondock Saints theme(no vocals, but I still like it)

Like I said, I'm not really looking for screaming that much, but if the actual music is really good, irish and catchy like the music in shipping up, then I'll def give it a try.

Finntroll has some songs with clean vocals but they mostly scream, but the music is quite catchy and vaguely irish sounding.

Select tracks by Turisas have clean vocals as well- To Holmgard and Beyond as an example.

I'm not to sure this qualifies as 'folk metal' either, but Death In June is still dark(ish) folk infused amazingness.

My favourite folk metal band is Eluveitie. I love the stories told, how the music is played, the instruments and the vocols.
You can check out other bands like:
Cruachan, Skyclad, Primordial, Geasa, Mael Mórdha, Rivendell, Korpiklaani, Ensiferum and Finntroll.

^^Yeah, Death in June are great! They're not folk metal though, but neofolk or apocalyptic folk, a part of the scene that emerged from post-industrial.

What would be a good album to start with?
