Default Favorite new band?

I'm looking for some new music to get into, wondering what people are diggin'... For my part, I love this group pitty sing. Has anybody heard these guys? They're from Boston, but their singer's a Manc, and he croons BIG, like a more tuneful Morrissey with a bit more lung capacity. The music is early U2, really ethereal and jangly, VERY accomplished musicianship. They've got samples on their site, pittysing.com, ad I found them on MySpace music too... Their LP just came out, and it’s classic… Just passing the recommendation along to anbody who, you know, likes good music.

I guess Velvet Revolver. They members have been around but the band is new.
It tough to find great new rock today. Rock has to come back full force.

well, even though they arent that new, butnew to the radio is the band skindred. these guys are awesome! they are an odd but cool combination of heavy metal, reggae, and punk. they may sound wierd at first, but their album will grow on you if you listen to it. the only negative is that some critics like to compare skindred to some defunct 80's band; dont get sucked in by what they say!

cdiracingnet, no offense to your freinds band but they sound like everyone else in nu metal/hardcire metal.
That sound is over and done with. I wish them the best of luck, but its time for something new like great straight ahead rock with good lyrics, I miss that. Thats is just my opinion but that style is very very very very stale already. Is skindred nu metal?
