Janis Joplin, Alexi Laiho, Kai Hansen, Damnagoras of Elvenking, Tarja Turunen
Travis Stever from Coheed and Cambria i think has the most distinctive voice
Bono sound more pissed than Shane MacGowan to me

yea lemmy kilmister i think has the most distinctive voice
No he doesn`t
smoke about 1000 cigarettes a day & anyone can sound like Lemmy |
I would say Freddy is pretty recognizable, and Axl. Ozzy too.
Jon Anderson
freddie murcury on the list, but ozzy and axle rose i prefer
Those people do NOTHING for me.
For me its: Ozzy(Black Sabbath era) Bruce ****inson Rob Halford Peter Steele Dave Mustaine Phil Anselmo |

Like him or not, its obvious this guy has the most destinct voice.
Geddy Lee. =) |
I agree with whoever said Phil Anselmo, his voice is unique IMO.
My favorite rock voice - Steven Tyler.
Dexter Holland, I've never heard anyone singing who sounds anywhere near like him
Also Serj Tanakian and Chester Bennington |
John Fogerty should be in the poll.
But also, there's Geddy Lee, Bruce D1ckinson, Mike Patton and Dave Mustaine. From that list, probably Freddie Mercury. Kurt Cobain definitely shouldn't be up there since he and Scott Weiland sound rather similar at times. And I've never heard Bush, but I've heard that the vocals are similar to Cobain's. |

Scott Weiland ripped of Cobain... But he rips off every singer from Vedder to Cornell, so no biggie.
I love Cobains voices and i'd difinetely say it's distictive, even though it does remind me of Paul Westerberg sometimes. IMO the most distinctive voices. Tom Waits - Sounds like he smokes 100 packs of cigarettes a day. Jon Anderson - If Micky Mouse and Tiny Tim had a love child.... Bjork - Sounds like an angel........ Having a big f*cking orgasm. Eddie Vedder - Very distintive with his tenor and that whole marbles in his mouth style of singing, but i love his voice, and i think that even though his voice is very immitated, his vocals are still easy to recognize, and i can tell him apart from every one that tries to sound like him. Bon Scott - Sounds like Jon Anderson if he got drunk. Thom Yorke - His trademark falseto and moaning style is copied a lot nowadays, but i still find it quite unique. Robert Plant - I WAAAANNNNA BE YOUR BACKDOOR MAN!!! Jim Morrison - Nuff said. Freddie Mercury - His style of singing was unheard of at the time, and i still can't name one singer who sounds even remotely like him. David Bowie - And he has amazing range, his transition from falseto to tenor makes it seem so easy. Ozzy Osbourne - Sounds like, i have no damn idea.... But it freaks me out. Jello Biafra - The sound of a pissed off psyco killer. Axl Rose - Like Curly of the Three Stooges meets Gilbert Gottfried a lot of times, but i love his singing because of it's pure distintiveness and defiant style. John Fogerty - I just love it. Janis Joplin - Like Peppermint Patty on a drinking binge. Ian Anderson - If Satan has a voice, it would sound like Ian Anderson. Billy Corgan - Yes, i love his "rat" voice. Bono - STFU. Stevie Nicks - Love her or hate her, i find her voice to be very original... I even find it sexy, what?.... You don't think goats are sexy? Peter Gabriel - Phil Collins dosen't count, he was designed using Gabriel's DNA, but the experiement wasn't a complete success, as evidenced in Collins horribly disfigured appearance. Jimi Hendrix - Underrated too. Geddy Lee - Best known for his role in Alvin & The Chipmunks. |

Zach De La Rocha has a pretty unique singing style. As does the singer from MSI...even though I don't really like them at all...
Mike Patton (Faith No More) has a pretty interesting voice as well. |

For me
KURT D.COBAIN |
Sanchez (from Coheed and Cambria) has a really recognizeable voice obviously. From the poll though, i'd have to say Freddie.
Mercury forever

I have to admit i like Billy Corgans voice as well, i like the way he can switch from screaming to daydreamy-whispering so well. |
I voted chris cornell.

I dont understand all this Chris Cornell garbage..hes a twat
I think geddy lee has a very distinctive voice. Geddy Lee > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Cornell , an infinite amount of times |
jon anderson>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.Geddy Lee>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>cornell , So Jon Anderson = 99794037477239607x better than cornell.
Geddy lee > > Ian Anderson > > Jon Anderson...end of story
No
Im right your wrong :D no one can do Jon Anderson, and he's defiantley betetr than the angry misget voive, and ian anderson ( though I like them both) |
Cedric = geddy > Ian > Jon
Everyone sucks in comparison to Jon Anderson :D
This one is easy enough. I can name plenty, but Maynard James Keenan takes the title hands down.
other
