Yeah, but the best part of the song (that riff from 2:40) is Metallica's. That's why I like their version more.

Can't say Kill 'Em All does much for me. Seems a lot more generic overall. Not much to set it apart from other stuff I've heard. Not that I'm that up on the lineage. Maybe it sounds generic because everyone else copied it? Don't know enough to make the call but not an instant classic for me.

Yeah, it's never done much for me either. I much prefer Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets and ...And Justice for All.

"Beyond Magnetic" was pretty good.

Now Metallica ain't ****, but back then they managed to create a masterpiece of thrash metal which is Ride the Lightning + another great CD Master of Puppets + three more decent releases. After the Black Album there is barely anything interesting in them.

I'm a different kind of music fan in that I don't compare or relate albums to each other. In the case of Metallica, I see every album as having something to offer depending on the mood I happen to be in. Same goes for Megadeth, who's releases have evolved in a similar way as Metallica's. For me, I have no favorite Metallica album, as each has its own merits.

Anyone going to watch their $20 million movie 'Through the Never', apparently it's going to be half Metallica and half of it in the mind of Lars Ulrich, so bat**** fantasy insane, and somehow they'll join the two.

That was the first album of theirs that I bought. I'm not so much into them now. To me they are kind of forgettable.
