I dig the Catalyst in a big way.

I never got into Linkin Park. A lot of my friends enjoy them, but I can't stand them. The vocals aren't good and there's nothing impressive about how they play and there melodies. Pretty much any band that resembles the tiniest inkling of nu metal turns me off instantly and unfortunatley they have some of those characteristics.

I pretty much only enjoy the Mike Shinoda songs on Linkin Park LPs, nowadays.

For example, on the new LP, the track "When They Come For Me" is absolutely amazing.

i do like linkin park. i have to say i enjoy a lot more of their older songs as opposed some of the newer songs they have come out with. i can appreciate their music more though because i like to just listen to the lyrics. to me their music isnt mindless screaming into a microphone, a lot of it does have meaning. like with any good artist i look for good lyrics. but like i said their old stuff is way better than their new stuff.

Default Linkin Park

Can't say I've ever been as disappointed in an album as I am with [I]A Thousand Suns[I], looked up a couple of new songs last night for old time's sake and thought 'no way can this band suck this much' so I downloaded the album and the suck worse than I originally thought. Bit of a letdown even though I don't really listen to them these days...

They kind of strayed from their nu-metal roots (which isn't a bad thing) into a concept band, virtually blurring genres. I've been a fan since Hybrid Theory, but I wasn't too impressed with their rap/hip-hip collaborations.

Agreed but it has to do with them experimenting a bit with their sound and they have created a new fan base that likes their more recent albums as opposed to their material in the past.

really? I loved them but maybe that's because I'm all over nu-metal and I just love that genre. I like the idea of mixing rap with rock and I guess most people aren't receptive to it.

You didn't like Reanimation?

Reanimation was okay, but it is probably my least favorite LP album because it was nothing but remixes. I preferred the tracks in their original version on Hybrid Theory.

I preferred the remixes slightly more plus it had that one song cold December or something along those lines which was an original.
