theres no diversity to their output. Every song sounds the same and their incredibly manufactured - which doesnt go down too well. Basically, same reasons i dislike My Chemical Romance.

^MCR's first album wasn't manufactured at all. Just sayin'.

I don't like them because, for pretty much all the reasons already said. Talented musicians? Compared to who? Blink 182?

i know that, but it wasnt massively successful so the record label plunged heaps of money into the band too acheive instant success with the second album. Im not a fan of that.

I used to like LP, but I grew out of them. Plus they are a bit too formulated for my tastes. You'd think a band that incorporates 3 major genres wouldn't have such a simple song structure.

I'll admit it, I used to listen to them. But then I got into the heavier ****, first it was Drowning Pool and then it got to Cannibal Corpse. Listen to Cannibal Corpse, and then listen to Linkin Park. You'll see why I don't listen to them anymore.

They have become a "mainstream" band and all of their albums have sounded pretty much the same and are considered cookie cutter. It is definitely corporate rock, geared towards 13-18 year olds, with pretty much the same lyrical content and same sound. I think they just blew up too big too fast!

I remember some chick I used to hang out with, making a point about the difference between their debut CD, and the Meteor (whatever the hell the name is) one, and that Meteor was way too techno for rock music. Too me, alot of their songs kinda dragged on and kinda changed subjects half way through.

Reznorslave 05-15-2006 12:46 AM

Yeah, the techno thing doesn't bother me because that's their sound. The songwriting, while catchy, really isn't great and the albums are just getting more and more alike the farther they go. I hear they have a new record coming out sometime around the end of the year so I guess we'll see where they're heading then!

They're ugly and they stink.
