Default Linkin Park, I wanna know why alot of you hate them?

I personally love Linkin Park but what is the reason alot of you hate them? I mean they are an absolutely great band, they're great musicians, they have great vocalists but why do you hate them?! Is it because you have a grudge against NU metal, is it because Mike Shinoda is obsessed with rapping? I just have no clue how so many people can hate thisgreat band.

Post your opinions on Linkin Park. Also why you like/dislike them.

Thanks Blainka

Yeah, they're talented and all that ****. Too weak for me though, and too mainstream. Plus everytime I see the lead singer he just makes you wanna beat his ass. I don't 'hate' them, I just don't 'like' them.

Which singer? Rapper one or metal one? I don't like either of them in they're "looks", but i like their vocals though.

The nerdy one. The hard-rock one (not metal). Not the dude that's with Fort Minor, the other one.

They have no integrity. I honestly thought they had something going on their first album. It wasn't much and it was generic, but Chester was at least an original sound.

But then the rest came and it was nothing to do with the music. Same old story really.

Too generic, whiney vocals, teenage angsty lyrics, very little depth, and the catchy hooks are there but they sound so forced.

I do like Cure for the Itch though.

I think the reason they`re so hated is because it`s blatently obvious they`re just a boyband aimed at teenage metal fans.

I remember reading somewhere in a trade magazine a couple of years ago that the record company invested so much money in them on promotion & advertising that they needed to sell 12 million copies of their debut album just to break even. It only sold around 8 or 9 million and so they put out a cheaply made remix album just to try and recoup some of that money.

I`d say they`re the epitomy of a corporate pop band.
