Thats a pretty impressive thing to say (if its true) they are played so much on radio and get so much exposure and with stupid mums and dads thinkin theyre 'cool' and down with it having it as their ringtones. I hate it with a vengeance but end up hearing it somewhere+ the fact my brother likes them.

does it really make a difference? All I know is it ain't from these shores (we have other kinds of musical evils). I just can't believe I'm talking on a forum about Nickelback... in 2009! So much for progress

Not in the grand scheme of things, no. But you were saying something about their singing style being an American thing or something. We already have the horror of Creed to contend with, don't go lumping foreign atrocities like Nickleback on us too.

haha. Well at least Creed split up I think? And don't ask me why I know this but the guitarist Mark Tremonte went on to start a group called, get this, Altarbridge.
I didn't need to look that up... Me and a friend just went through an immature phase of inventing 'Stapp-isms', saying everything in the manner of Creed singer Scott Stapp. It was funny at the time, and these things linger amongst the cobwebs of the brain... which is why i was only half-joking when I said 'Weathered' was actually a good album It's the ultimate tongue-planted-firmly-in-cheek Christian power-grunge experience. You have to admire their business plan |

My 11 year little brother loves Nickelback, Chris Daughtry and Souja Boy and he pokes fun of me for liking Radiohead and Flaming Lips.
He basically has the worst taste in music on the planet. |
