The song isnt a grunge song to me as you have already clarified yourself by posting two minutes ago that 'it doesnt sound like grunge'. Correct me if I'm wrong but the most easiest way of defining music in a genres is by listening to it right? .
Therefore stating that it doesnt sound like grunge is most obviously a reflection of your opinion which is just as good as saying 'it isnt grunge' which conflicts with your previous post 'The song is a grunge song'.
Cant you make up your mind?
Perhaps it would be easier for you to just ban me again?

What's so confusing to you?

I said I like it because it doesn't sound like a typical grunge song, you agreed yourself that it doesn't sound like one.
It was made at a time when this type of music was fresh & had an edge to it. Something that the 'grunge sound' didn't have when it became sanitised to appeal to a mass audience later on., most of which is what is considered as to what the grunge sound was today.

And don't worry I won't ban you for disagreeing with me, I don't work like that. And I will also reply to you in my own good time.There's really no need to PM me to remind me. But if you insist on being abusive to other people then yes you will go.

I do not need to repeat what I have already written. You have contradicted yourself often enough. Ok so you now class it as the 'early grunge' sound. But cmon lets face it Mudhoney werent exactly a proper grunge band anyway.
In relation the banning comment- you (& I) know you wanted to! & perhaps wouldve if I hadnt said anything..
Fair enough I just found it rather intriguing that all the way through the discussion up to that point you had been posting replies within a minute and then all of a sudden when I had caught you out you went quiet. In my opinion you must just be too proud to admit to your own contradictions which are(or were incase you edited again) there for all to see.
Also with the comment on the other post I was simply replying to the finger up sign which he had posted.
If you want rid of me get rid of me now ,please dont go snooping around butting in when Im talking to other people. Ok i guess it may have been a bit OTT with the comment but cmon a 15 year old calling me a lame kid?
And the Pm was sent in good humour but obviously you dont concurr?

Mudhoney not a grunge band? Wow, i've never heard that one before especially seeing they probably represented grunge in it's purest form. It was their lead singer's comment that gave the damn genre it's name in the first place. But if you don't think they are then that's your prerogative.

And yes I did read your PM and yes maybe a week was a harsh banning. But I did say if any other mods wanted to lift it they could, and nobody took me up on that so there you go. I guess people find it hard to be sympathetic to gobby noobs hurling abuse, and hurling abuse at people isn't tolerated here, which I guess you found out the hard way.

They were early-goers whereas it wasnt grunge in its purest form as I class it. Also I dont really rank them that high within the grunge movement anyway but thats just my opinion. Also I suppose im a bit out of my depth as I dont know a lot about the band & didnt know that the lead singer invented the name for the genre. Still doesnt make them the innovators or the best (IMO).

Also as for other mods I didnt know anything about them being able to lift it & suppose it wasnt really their place to do so.
Ive already told you this in the PM i sent you but I admit I was in the wrong. You werent even directing the comment at me and I just got fired up in the 'heat of the moment'. I have already apologised and I dont really think calling someone an idiot is exactly 'hurling abuse'.
Also I find it amusing & intriguing at the same time that you accuse me of hurling abuse and yet brand me as a 'gobby noobs' (whatever thats supposed to be..). Dont you think your just bringing yourself 'down to my level' by doing that and also if Im not allowed to 'hurl abuse' at you then how should you be allowed to do so towards me? Because your a moderator?

Finally I must stress that i do not have anything against you personally and that the arguments are all in good nature and just my opinions speaking. I couldve typed the post without adding 'idiot' on the end and somehow wish I had now. I dont really want an ongoing feud going on here with you having grudges against me vice versa and would like to just keep the peace from now on.
Perhaps we should just avoid each other?

I don't have any grudges against you. You are free to agree or disagree with me however much you please. All I am saying is I also have a job to do here. I do my best to keep them separate. I have never banned anyone out of anger because they disagreed with me.

And I don't agree saying 'Gobby Noobs' to you is abuse. I was pointing out that when people come here and start hurling abuse at people they're not going to get much sympathy from people if they are banned. You were new here , and you were hurling abuse at people. You were being a bit gobby and you were new. that's nowhere near the same as calling someone an idiot just because they disagree with you. so no I don't think it's decending to any level, it's calling it as I saw it at the time. But if you were offended then I apologise.
And no you don't have to avoid me, where's the fun in that?
