Hey everyone, let me first make it clear that Im a grunge rocker, powerful meaningful music - Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, etc.

But for pure guitar solos here are my picks - Funkadelic - Maggot Brain, Metallica - Fade to Black, Master of Puppets, Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven, Ozzy Osbourne (Randy Rhoads) - Mr Crowley, Bark at the Moon, Crazy Train, Black Sabbath - Dirty Women, Guns N Roses - Sweet Child o Mine, November Rain, Porcupine Tree- Radioactive Toy, Steve Vai - For the Love of God, Pink FLoyd - Comfortably Numb

And its not a solo but the guitar for Nutshell - Alice in Chains always makes me emotional,so beautiful

Let me know your thoughts guys,
Scar x

You left out the solo in "Flying High Again." It's incredible. By the way, Jake E. Lee does the solo on "Bark at the Moon."

Can someone please explain to me, in musical terms, why the solo in ZZ Top's "Sleeping Bag" is great? Because it is, but it is weird somehow.

The solo that starts at 2:35

2:55 May not be the most technical but it still damn good and one of my favorites.

0:45
