Damn, I forgot a masterpiece! It is named Castigo ("Punishment", 1979), by Leño too:

BTW, I'm sorry if anyone has problems to pronounce the letter Ñ (this wouldn't happen if you wrote and pronounced Cape Cañaveral properly ). Anyway, this may help you.

Harsh much? It's alright, at least you guys are being honest.

I just wanted to put a DIVERSE list (hence the reason for Poison, KISS, Europe, etc.) You know, it's easy to put Zeppelin tunes up there, or Hendrix, Queen, Clapton (Cream / Solo / Layla-Era), etc, so I decided to go outside the norm.

On the Guiter Hero comment, I've played the first three. After Legends of Rock, I never played any of the others, so I don't know what's a Guitar Hero song, outside of Sweet Child O' Mine, Free Bird and some others.

@Zaqarbal - I'm not into much "foreign" music (or whatever other name is for it), so I'm not experienced in that field.

Any suggestions on how to change the list?

It was an example to discuss the "quality vs popularity" criterion. I wanted to show how difficult to combine the two things is. Perhaps impossible. And since you said "I could've put a bunch of 10 minutes solos up here that nobody's ever heard of", my response to that would be: Don't worry about that, go ahead with it, just choose the best solos according to your sincere opinion. Forget the "popularity", because it's impossible to please everybody. Furthermore, many members would be glad to hear songs unknown to them.

I'd say System of a Down's "Psycho" has a really different solo than what you'd expect. It really brought me back to the days where I used to play a lot of Timesplitters

my favorite lead guitarist has to be jimmy herring (current guitarist of widespread panic)

Transients by Jimmy Herring the solo on this song and some of the other songs on this album give me the chills, man

Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold is my favourite guitarist.
Strength of the World, Beast and the Harlot, Afterlife, Nightmare, Buried Alive, Girl I Know, Crossroads, Dancing Dead, Eternal Rest, just to name a few are just plain awesome!

Evile-We who are about to die
The second solo is honestly the greatest thing I have ever heard on a guitar
