being a Canadian our Freebird is probably Wheat Kings by the Tragically Hip. You have no idea how huge that band is over here. I may not enjoy them but there is no denying Wheat Kings as a great song

I'd say the Free Bird of our generation is Under the Bridge by RHCP. They're both very beautiful songs that are incredibly well written.
