this are not my top 5 but:
I really think Brandon Flowers makes a good frontman. ok he now sports a stupid fur, but he gives some great performances and he always get's the crowd going, especially when the perform "All this things that I've done" and "When you were young" Also Morrissey is great. haven't exactly seen a whole concert, but from what I've seen from him performing on tv and from the video of "That's how people grow up" his fans worship him. Axl Rose was great with the original GN'R, and I don't think anybody can argue with that. Now he looks like a 1994 Dexter Holland. Steven Tyler is also pretty cool when on stage, even though I don't really like Aerosmith. As for the best ever, in my opinion Robert Plant. He was in a league of his own. Now he looks like an old-man in tight jeans, but he still has some of that flair. The worst: David Coverdale...I've seen Whitesnake live last month (I had free tickets), and that old-full is actually lip-synching. |

Bruce Dickinson
Morrissey Damo Suzuki Bowie Joe Strummer This is rock/metal, so I'm omitting James Brown and Herbie Hancock. Bruce Dickinson in my eyes is the quintessential frontman... THE metal vocalist and an energetic showman. Not to mention a pilot, author, fencer and historian... Here, have a video of him running around with the Union Jack during the Trooper.

I agree with most of this list.
- Robert Plant: His voice makes Led Zeppelin. Fantastic examples include Kashmir, Whole Lotta Love, and Rock and Roll. - Ian Curtis: If he just performed @ one show in the states, it would have changed this iconic band forever...and for all we know, we might have never heard of a band called New Order. - Freddy Mercury: Do you honestly think anyone else could have pulled off the following songs in quite the same way? Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, You're My Best Friend, Stone Cold Crazy - Thom Yorke: I like him and I am a big fan of Radiohead, but I can't put him in the same league Instead I'm putting the following 2... - Jim Morrison: His charisma alone made The Doors soar into the upper echelon of popularity. They were considered the "dark horse" in an era of free love and Age of Aquarius. Songs like The End, When The Music's Over, and Riders on the Storm: My Lord he was amazing! - David Gilmour: The Dark Side of the Moon. Need I say more?
