Vent all you like, it makes no difference (:
I always thought of him as being an arrogant prick with a bad band, I don't really hate him, I just don't care about them. I used to know a girl who was obsessed with Pritchard though, I never understood why

Hahahaha Simon tearing apart The Kooks, and then continuing to do so for 3 or 4 seasons of Nevermind The Buzz****s.

I guess I see your side with the arrogant bit. He did insult both the Monkeys and what was it, Glasvegas? But he says he has reason. And tbh, I dont really rate bands on their members, for me its the music that counts. Then if the menbers are cool, it makes them cooler (: get what I mean?

I see where shes coming from. Being a girl, I do admit he is pretty hot. Sorry.

I don't rate bands on their members, I like Blur. Albarn is a prick. I used to love Oasis, and well... need I say more.

But it's when the front man is a gobby arrogant prick but can't back it up with the music, if they can back it up with good music - I'll let it go.

The Kooks certainly don't back it up with good music. She had The Kooks story about how they met in school on a social networking site and I was reading and I thought IDGAF.

Just rewatched it for the first time in ages. I laughed even more than the first time.

Ah, Oasis. You just said the magic word. They're basically my favourite band. Ever. But I see where your coming from. When I first heard they'd split I was nearly in tears. Not surprised though. Just sad. Stupid Liam and Noel. Grrrr. What do you mean you used to like them?

I dont know if theyre musics good, but I do know I like it. And thats what matters (:

And tbh, your friend sounds a bit smug.

I mean used to because I grew up and just explored other things.. But I got drunk to Definitely Maybe and WTS(MG), I had sex to them, I played football to them, they were soundtracks to many summers and they'll always have a place in my heart but if my iTunes had a shuffle album function, I'd probably skip it these days. They should've split up in 97 and established themselves as a respectable band, the stuff they did from Be Here Now until Don't Believe The Truth ruined their legacy. But then again if they split up in 97 I would've never been able to see them live.

Their music wasn't great in terms of technical ability, but they just had the attitude about them. "Pick up a guitar and play" you don't need to be Jimmy Hendrix to write good songs. DIY attitude about things.

And most Kooks fans are

Soundtrack to your summer, thats nice... Mine too. Many, actually. I dont know what it is about them, maybe the lyrics that are actually much more profound then what they seem. Or Liams voice, which under any other circumstance would seem rather painful but with them sounds makes magic. Or maybe even those little round John Lennon glasses? I dont know, I just know that I love them.

Theyre old stuff is much better then the newest, and I dont understand the big fuss they made over the song the Masterplan, as I personally find it very very mediocre.

I never saw them live, you lucky thing. Broke my heart ): and the attitudes hot. Maybe its also theyre background which adds to the appeal...

and are you saying i'm smug?!

Oasis lyrics aren't really profound, I grew up thinking they were but they were just Noel pissed up in a bed sit rhyming fishes and dishes and standing at the station needing education. I think it was just drug/alcohol fueled rhyming which seemed to work until they took it too far with 'the cocaine album'

I think The Masterplan is a liked song at least amongst Oasis fans because it was a B-side, Noel didn't even deem it good enough to put on an LP.

And.. yes.
