Sing Me A Sad Song (lyrics, blues, metal, punk)

As one might guess from my handle (from 'Wang Dang Doodle, by Howlin' Wolf), I like the blues.

Can anyone recommend any rock/metal bands/albums/songs with sad/depressing lyrics? Perhaps something along the lines of Alice In Chains? Preferably no emo or black metal. (I'm not picky, am I?)
